If you’re interesting in contributing or even joining, here is the place for you.
Currently, me dukc is the only person working on this. I guess just replace all the “we” with “I”.
We are a community of people (just me right now) focused on making God’s word more accessible, and modernizing the way we access it. We love Jesus, design, privacy, and free & open-source software.
Spreading the gospel and giving people more ways to study God’s word and giving organizations more easier ways to spread their ministry. On the actual development side, we focus on design, accessibility, consistency, performance, and privacy.
We are looking for people who are passionate on the same things above. And specifically, people who use the technologies we use, or are willing to learn these:
And personally when I started getting all these ideas for Bibleio I got very burnt out. Then I found this passage from Exodus 18:17-21 (BSB)
17 But Moses’ father-in-law said to him, “What you are doing is not good. 18 Surely you and these people with you will wear yourselves out, because the task is too heavy for you. You cannot handle it alone.
19 Now listen to me; I will give you some advice, and may God be with you. You must be the people’s representative before God and bring their causes to Him. 20 Teach them the statutes and laws, and show them the way to live and the work they must do.
21 Furthermore, select capable men from among the people—God-fearing, trustworthy men who are averse to dishonest gain. Appoint them over the people as leaders of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens.
We want to have God-fearing, trustworthy people who are passionate about what we are passionate about and want to learn the way we develop stuff. But let’s also take this passage from Mark 9:40:
For whoever is not against us is for us.
If you aren’t against Jesus, and are passionate, trustworthy, know the technologies we use or are willing to learn them (18:20), we would love to have you help.
Developing the Rust API, and the converter/structure for BibleJSON, if you’re good at Rust and back-end stuff, I would love to have you help.
